JACINDA Ardern has stormed to a resounding victory in the New Zealand general election, securing the first majority government since the introduction of Mixed Member Proportional Representation.
Our reporter Richard Hansen kept us updated on Twitter throughout the evening as seat after seat was called for Labour.
Ardern won praise across the world for her handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, and now she has been rewarded by her electorate.
In an upcoming special episode of our podcast, Richard and our Co-Editor James Moules will break down the election result, discuss what led to it and consider what Ardern will do next.
In the meantime, listen to the previous episodes of our podcast here.
