Coming soon – Rashomon’s relevance to the fake news era

AKIRA Kurosawa’s Rashomon is one of the most iconic films in the history of cinema.

The story behind it is well know. A rape and murder are reported in the woods. Four different accounts are presented as to how it happens.

Each character appears spin their own tale to suit their own narrative as to what might have happened. Who was telling the truth? Nobody knows. But that’s not the point.

In our inaugural episode of the Redaction Culture Club, our team will be reviewing this cinematic masterpiece and examining its relevance to the world today – to the world of fake news and political spin.

In the meantime, you can watch other videos on our channel here.
