MUCH like 2020, this year has been dominated once again by the coronavirus pandemic.
Across the world, everyone’s day to day lives have been changed as further lockdowns and restrictions were seen over the world.
2021 saw a little more hope, as the worldwide rollout of vaccines also dominated headlines throughout the year – although news of the Omicron variant towards the twilight months has still left us with a great deal of concern.
But while Covid continues to dominate the news, it was not all that happened this year.
With Elon Musk being announced as TIME‘s Person of the Year today, we thought we’d take the opportunity to ask you, our readers, what you think of the news.
Did TIME get it right? Who do you think should have been named as the most significant figure of 2021?
And what do you think was the biggest news topic?
We’ll be recording our end of year roundup later this week to go out on YouTube before the New Year.
Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and we’ll discuss the best suggestions on the show.
