THE BRITISH Labour Party is still in the depths of soul searching following its catastrophic defeat in the 2019 general election.
Although many thoughts that the most recent general election might have been the party’s nadir in fortunes, under Keir Starmer Labour has still endured some less than encouraging results – perhaps more notably in this year’s by-election in Hartlepool.
Following Labour’s narrow win in Batley and Spen, Starmer’s leadership is safe for the time at hand. But what should the party do next if it wants to be electorally competitive?
